new additions to ArcGIS 9.4
The Esri International User Conference 2009 is going strong for the moment! At the conference, ESRI revealed some new functionality to the ArcGIS 9.4 stack. What follows is – for me – some of the more interesting stuff they’ve changed:
- official support for windows 7 (32bit only…)
- ArcCatalog is integrated in ArcMap
- Geoprocessing processes will be able to be run in the background
- Map Services are being extended to support tables, relationships, maplex and cartographic representations which will in turn be exposed through the REST Api
- ArcGIS Mobile 9.4 for the iPhone (whoohoo)
